🐟 How to Catch Big Fish
With the introduction of tournaments, players often ask how to catch fish that reach the maximum possible size for their species. There are several in-game factors that directly influence the size of your catch. Below is a simple explanation of each one.
1. “Experience Soup” (+5% to fish size)
- Cook the “Experience Soup” in the house on your base.
- Use it before going fishing.
- All fish you catch will be up to 5% larger.
2. Fisherman Rank (+1% for every 10 levels)
- Every 10 fisherman levels add up to +1% to the maximum possible size of the fish you catch.
- Higher-level players will naturally catch larger fish of the same species more often.
3. Depth Factor (up to +10%)
- Each location has zones with different depths.
- If you fish in an area deeper than that location’s “big fish depth”, the possible size increases by up to 10%.
- Under the same conditions, deeper spots almost always give larger fish.
4. Location section and bait type
Before you take your rod out of the inventory, you can scroll the location left or right using the yellow arrows. Different sections (left / center / right) may produce different fish sizes.
- On the left side, a big crucian carp may bite on a large garlic boilie.
- In the center — on peas.
- On the right — it may not bite at all.
The combination of the section of the location, depth, and bait forms a unique “mini-balance” for each fishing spot. This is why you can sometimes suddenly catch a giant fish where you haven't before.
5. Experiment and remember successful conditions
If you catch a very large fish, try to remember:
- the exact section of the location (left / center / right),
- the depth,
- the bait and lure used,
- active bonuses (such as the Experience Soup),
- the time of day.
This helps you repeat your success — especially important in tournaments, where even a fraction of a centimeter can matter.
Good luck and tight lines! 🎣
